Three Rivers Community Foundation offers many opportunities to get involved, whether you’re interested in donating, joining a committee, joining our board, volunteering, interning, or attending Building Change: A Convergence for Social Justice. We also offer opportunities to high school students through our Youth Ambassador Program and our Teens 4 Change program.
Volunteerism is one of the positive attributes of our society. When we take on service as a volunteer, we are saying that we truly are our brother’s (and sister’s) keeper. At the Three Rivers Community Foundation, volunteering is a way of life – an everyday activity that brings us into close, meaningful, and rewarding contact with the many wonderful people who are working to bring social justice and change to their communities and our region. For this reason, our Foundation has created many opportunities for significant, challenging, and uplifting volunteering. This summer alone, we have the services of 13 new volunteers and interns who are working on diverse and interesting projects (see our listing of internships).
These caring and committed volunteers are helping to advance the TRCF mission of Supporting Progressive Social Change. Without their valuable service, many pressing needs in our region would go unmet, and our work would be much more difficult. We are deeply grateful to each of our volunteers, and we invite you to join with them – and with us – as we help to produce Change, not charityTM, for the citizens of Southwestern Pennsylvania.

The Black Political Empowerment Project (B-PEP) is a community formed through collaboration, bringing together agency, organization, and religious leaders, as well as individuals.
The Tides Foundation, founded in 1976, grew out of a need for the facilitation of philanthropic giving. Tides works to promote a change towards a society founded on a few basic principles: social justice, shared economic opportunity, a healthy democratic process, and sustainable environmental practices.
